We’ll review the proposed contribution. A Foundation representative will contact the prospective sponsor to discuss the opportunity.
Step 3
Sponsorship is confirmed. The contribution, recognition category, estimated/documented value, and applicable recognition are recorded.
Step 4
Recognition is provided. The sponsor is added to the appropriate website listing and receives any approved badge, acknowledgment, or other recognition.
Step 5
Continuing sponsorships may be renewed. Seasonal and annual sponsorships may be reviewed periodically.
Tax Status Notice
Legacy Of Service: Somers Veterans Foundation, Inc. is a Connecticut nonprofit corporation and has applied for recognition of federal tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). While the application is pending, contributors do not have advance assurance that contributions are deductible for federal income-tax purposes. If tax-exempt status is ultimately recognized for the period in which a qualifying contribution was made, applicable contributions may qualify for deduction under federal law. Donors should consult their tax adviser regarding their individual circumstances.
